Requirements For Business Development Manager

Job Responsibilities:
  • Build out the business development function from the ground up
  • Developing customized targeted sales strategies
  • Identification of new business opportunities and generating target based revenues from new customer acquisitions
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Develop marketing content like business proposals, presentations, and other documents as required by potential clients
  • Coordination with lead generation partners and agencies
  • Researching potential leads from business directories like Upwork, LinkedIn, etc
  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc
  • Maximizing networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events, and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts
  • Presenting company services to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Responding to questions and follow-up questions from potential clients
  • Creating and maintaining a list/ database of prospect clients
  • Maintaining short-term and long-term business development plans
  • Experience in dealing with government tenders
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Desired Skills/Knowledge:
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Understanding of general IT outsourcing business
  • Understanding of website and web application outsourcing business
  • Well-rounded awareness of web and app development
  • Ability to liaise with project managers and technical team leaders
  • Experienced in lead generation activities
  • Experienced in handling international clients
  • Experienced in documenting SOW, proposals, case studies, presentations, and simplifying requirements
